[The video feed is triggered as Rika bumps into the communicator on the desk, but she doesn't notice that it's recording just yet. During this hour of the night, the classroom is dark, except for the front of the classroom which is lit up by a flashlight. Some may recognize it as the classroom used for the primary school students. Ever since Rika ( Read more... )

[ The first thing Ange notices and focuses on is the English writing. Thankfully her English is good enough to understand it. And then.. 'Frederica Bernkastel'.

Bernkastel?

She's curious, of course, about Bernkastel being mentioned there and also about the poem, but then she hears that little sniff. And that becomes the priority. ]

... Rika-chan?

[Have a lengthy silence before she answers. She may be a little startled that her communicator was recording everything. When she answers, she still sounds just as tired (sad?) and subdued as last time.]

...

Hello, Ange.

'A happy life'.. [ She repeats the words in English before dropping a slight silence as if thinking about the words. ]

... Are you alright?

[Saying she is alright would be a lie.] I won't stay unhappy for too long. I doubt they would like to see me this way.

... [Another pause. Idly swinging her legs while she sits on the desk as she thinks.]

I don't mind. Do you know where the elementary school is?

Very well then. I will see you soon.

[Rika will be waiting in the exact same spot on top of the desk with her notebook on her lap and gazing up at the blackboard.]

[ Ange actually sort of hurries (perhaps because of Rika, perhaps because it's dark out and she doesn't feel like being torn apart by monsters), so it doesn't take her too long to arrive at the elementary school and walk into the classroom, managing to make her way through the dark. Since she can now see the full poem on the schoolboard it attracts her attention for a bit, just long enough to read the rest of it, before she turns her attention to the girl. Ange stops a few steps away from Rika. ]

Is being out late like this your hobby?

[Even though she can hear footsteps approaching, she doesn't bother turning around to face her. Instead, she flips through pages of her notebook, which is filled with Rika's handwriting in Japanese, a map of Discedo, and newspaper clippings.

But when Ange speaks, she quietly shuts the book and replies:]

...It's a pleasant time of day.

[Yes, yes it is her hobby. It would be even more pleasant if she could pour herself a glass of Bernkastel-vintage wine.]

[ Ange finds another nearby desk and sits down as well, glancing at the blackboard once more. ]

A pleasant time of day to write poetry?

[Swinging her legs, gazing up at the blackboard.]

I was practicing writing in English. I wasn't too good with it back then.

[But still, writing poetry. It was a poem originally in Japanese and it was written before she did show up in Discedo. She wouldn't sign the poem with a name in the past, but ever since she met Bernkastel in Discedo... she started putting down a name.]

I think it's an.. interesting poem.

[ 'Everyone has a right to pursue a happy life', huh. ... Heh. The difficult part indeed is to be given that right. But she already lost it, right? ... Then, what about Rika? ]

Your pen name is pretty interesting as well.

[She tilts her head back to look at Ange. A tiny smile appears on her lips.]

Pen name? Furude Rika and Frederica are different.

[ Are we going to play it that way, Rika? Ange is about to make a comment on how Toya Hachijo and Featherine Augustus Aurora are different and yet the same too, but.. she doubts Rika even knows Featherine, so she doesn't. ]

There's not much of a difference if you say it fast enough. [ Take that however you will. ]

Only when you say it.

[She slips down from her desk to pick up a piece of chalk and jots down in kanji, '古手梨花' directly beneath 'Frederica'. She beams a smile, though it's not really genuine. Yeah. She's going to keep playing that way.]

They are different, you see? Nipa~☆.
