Almost time to leave Australia

So here I am.

Back in wonderful Sydney again. I adore this city so much, even when i arrived back from Perth, it felt like home. I know where i'm going, i know people here, everything is so familiar. I have my favourite restaurants and shops, places where i can just sit and chill for a few hours. Its honestly just a fantastic city. If i had a proper grown up job, i think i most certainly could live her. But for a backpacker, its just too expensive. Well actually compared to the shit hole Denham was, its pretty cheap.

I'm staying on the couch of my old apartment, which saves me almost $200 dollars on hostels, which i really appreciate. Although waking up after my first night back in Sydney gave me the biggest fright. I'm sure its been all over the news on Wednesday, when the dust storm blew through Sydney City, it was without the eeriest thing i've ever seen. Especially when the roommates were exclaiming 'I think we're under attack" at 6am, that sort of thing doesnt help.

I took 2 photos but they didnt turn out too great unfortunately, but im glad to have seen it. It was like the entire sky was on fire. Not a sound either, complete silence. It actually sends a shiver down my spine, its how you picture what the end of the world would look like if the apocalypse turned up on your doorstop.

5 days left in Sydney before NZ. Cannot wait. Although, looking at the weather in Christchurch, it looks freezing! Colder than any temperature i've experienced in OZ.

I guess i'll be sad to leave Sydney, but defiantely not sad to leave Australia. I find Australians a very peculiar bunch of people. I cant put my finger on it. I guess its because there all essentially a bunch of asswipes. Harsh i know and it doesnt apply to all Australians, but to the majority of them. They are just an arrogant bunch of turds. The ones who live in isolated little towns are fucking weird man. I guess you'd have to be, if you lived in the middle of nowhere. But yeah, Australians are not my cup of tea. Even their accents start grating on your nerves. I'm expecting Kiwis to be insanely amazing {very much like the Irish or so i'm told}.

Anywho, Australia is almost checked off my list. NZ here i come! Cant wait to get to Hobbit land, oh man i'm going to be on the biggest LOTR buzz ever! Yippie. Plus Glow worms, there is an abundant mass of Glow worm caves in NZ. How excellent is that?
