Piper Update
Piper is doing well. She will be 7 months on the 12th. She has a couple colds when she first came home from the hospital one of which landed her in the hospital over night. She actually has a little cough now but is doing well over all.
She has an occupational therapist that comes to the house twice a month and works with her on some of the long term effects of having been born so early and spending such a long time in the NICU. She has low muscle tone in her chest and neck and torticolis. She also has sensory integration issues which means she gets overwhelmed easily. At almost 7 month old she is developmentally more like a 5 month old. Her adjusted age is 4 months but there is some things that get kicked off when you are born that develop at a different rate with a premie. Like she is teething already, but she can't sit up yet.
At her 6 month check up she was 12lbs 12oz and 24 inches long. She was in the 5% for height and weight and 8th for head on the 6 month old growth chart.
I keep thinking I need to write more often but I can't think of what I should write. My mother in law and her sister write down so much that they can go back to journals and pull out very specific information
