Look at me go...

I am 2 weeks and 4 days away from being a married woman. :)

And I feel very accomplished right now... I just drafted a letter for Vincent to send to the british consulate with my visa application. It was bothering me that it was one of the few things that we had yet to do, and Vincent didn't think he'd be able to word it right, so he asked me to draft it for him and leave spaces for things that I don't know, like his annual salary and his full job description... But it's done now and ready for him to fill in, and I feel slightly more at ease.

I also did some calculations with my bank account last night, and I should have enough after all wedding/hotel costs for the other things I need... If I don't have enough for my plane ticket, it's only going to be $300. so that's about 2 weeks pay for me, possibly less...

I'm also going to make reservations at the Melting Pot when they open their phones (at noon) for the day after the wedding. We're only staying about 5 miles from Station Square, so that will be nice. And last time, when I took Vincent for his birthday, they gave us this amazing private booth, built into a little corner and it has walls on 3 sides with just enough space to get in and for the server to make the fondue. It was so nice... So I think that would be really awesome for the day after.

We also got these t-shirts  and they make me happy. (clearly he got the opposite, with the groom frowning and bride smiling.) Though, I don't think we can wear them to the melting pot. haha.

My goal for this week is to make the cake toppers. Mom is making a 2-tier wedding cheesecake! Bottom layer will be new york style and top will be chocolate. Yum. Decorated with fruit. And on top will be 2 little computers, 1 white and 1 black, with little kid pictures of us on the screens. I'm planning on making a little veil for mine, too... But I have to go get copies of the pictures printed at rite aid and get some white paint for mine. Luckily they're already black so his doesn't have to be painted...

Vincent had an awesome idea for the centerpiece at the restaurant. The cake toppers I wanted (which were bride and groom rubber duckies) floating in a nice glass bowl with water and glass marbles at the bottom... and decorated with flowers around the outside. I'm so proud of him... the computers were his idea too.

K I'm done rambling for now. I'm sure there is more to come though....
