It somehow morphed into fall overnight! But I LOVE this weather. Leaves, crisp days, cool nights, leaving the windows open at night aka, amazing sleeping weather - pumpkins, candy corn, cardigan weather, etc. Fall is my FAVORITE season and even though it morphs into winter, I still love it and take advantage as long as I can. The last few weeks have been kind of busy for me and the NEXT few weeks even moreso - but its all fun things and I am really excited.
• I saw Keith Urban with Kris Allen over Labor Day weekend. It was a VERY last minute and spontaneous thing, and I'm glad a friend and I decided to do it. It was the last show on Keith's summer tour and we had a blast. It is probably in my top 5 concerts ever - and I didn't know any of Keith's music. I'm now a bit of a fan! It doesn't feel too country - its more crossover and the concert felt like a rock concert. At one point, Keith ran over to where we were sitting and grabbed my hand in his (Hello, sweaty hot as hell Australian man) and I had a meltdown and was unable to stop shaking. My write up is
HERE if anyone's interested. Complete with video of Kris and Keith singing Jack and Diane, Kris forgetting the words and Keith mocking him.
• Josh Groban's new CD is dropping in November! The new single called Hidden Away is on his web site, and I love it. There's a lot of disappointment on twitter I've heard of about it (its been 4 years since the last album) but I think its awesome. Just him and the piano and that baritone. If you're interested, I also wrote about it on my blog
here and there's a link to download it.
• Seeing Seventh Room in Plymouth on Saturday night. Really excited, even though I just saw them not too long ago (when Erin was here). They're good guys and I like their music.
• I'm getting together with my college group of friends in a couple of weeks - that should be interesting. It'll also be fun to see everyone again. It's been too long.
• Upcoming Jimmy concerts! September 28 in Boston at the Hard Rock and October 2 in NYC (in which Lisa is coming with me.) The Boston show is almost 2 years to the day of when I first saw Ours live. It'd be more wild if it was at the same club, but its in a different place. That show is going to be so incredible, I can't wait to hear the new music live, and with a band. I have actually heard a lot of it live but just acoustic - it's going to take on a life of its own with the band.
• I'm seeing Lifehouse and Kris Allen in October - the 15th at Foxwoods, and the 16th in Boston. I loved seeing Lifehouse live when they opened for Daughtry, and now they're headlining - its a bonus Kris is opening for them. They should be awesome shows. I have 10th row for Foxwoods and 3rd row mezzanine (off the floor) for Boston. I'm deciding doing a third show - between NYC on the 17th or Atlantic City on the 23rd. Its all up in the air though.
• Going to visit Erin (hopefully) over Veteren's Day weekend. I need a few days off and I haven't been down there for a couple of years, so it should be a fun time. I think I'll have 4 or 5 full days, with the holiday in there. Still waiting to get the final ok so I can book my plane tickets.
I think that's all I got. Its gloomy and I hope this week goes fast. :)
