Quickie
No, not THAT KIND. Minds out of the gutter. But then again, its fun with them being there.
Again, somehow the last 2 weeks have slipped by and the 4th of July is upon us. Not quite sure how that happened, but well, it did. I'm at work but have a few minutes for a quick update. Of the bulleted kind.
• Seeing Ryan Star twice in two days in Hartford and Boston was everything I could have asked for and more. It was an unbelievably emotional and incredible experience. I do have to recap it in my blog and I will, but...I just haven't wrapped my head around it yet. All my pictures and videos are up on facebook though so if you're friends with me there, you've probably seen them. He also wrote me a note to give to my boss excusing me for the release party show on August 3 that I'm still not sure I am going to yet, even though I have a ticket (Long, involved story that will likely upset me if I discuss it right now, so we just won't). I can't put it into words at this moment.
• Jimmy Gnecco's album drops in 18 days! I am so excited, and I've got the album pre-ordered through the label and also on itunes. I may be a bit of a loon and ordered the ultimate deluxe package, which was a lot of money, but it's to die for. Everything in it is just...gah. Amazing. It also came with 3 bonus tracks, of whcih I have downloaded and the zip files are sitting on my desktop. I've been on team holding out since the end of May when I bought the limited edition vinyl that came with the mp3 download codes. I figured since I could hold out this long, another month wasn't that bad. I'm taking heat for it, but I really want to hear it all at once (which is the reason for my pre-order from itunes, plus it comes with 2 extra songs and 2 videos) and have it be a really really emotional experience. Which I have no doubt it will be. Still no idea if there's going to be a release show party or not - I'm holding out hope there will be. I'm just getting antsy at this point. Yesterday, 2 dates got announced for Jimmy, one in LA about a week after the release and one in Champaign, IL in September. So hopefully more will be following soon. I'm not going to lie, I've been totally trolling for dates.
• Erin booked her flight and arrives here TWO WEEKS FROM TOMORROW. She's here from July 17-July 27!!! 10 whole days! I can't FREAKING WAIT to see her. We're going to be generally ridiculous and just have FUN. And relax. God knows I need a vacation.
• The roads around my work have been under construction for the last week-ish. Its more annoying then anything because I have to get creative as to how I get around when I'm at lunch or when I'm coming in in the morning.
• Long weekend this weekend - which I am so excited for. It's also going to be HOT and HUMID (ugh!) here this week. DNW. Actually, I don't mind the heat, just can't deal with the humidity. I think the AC Is going to be going in. Beach on Sunday with Erica though, which I am really pretty excited for.
• If you haven't seen the video for Lifehouse's new song, All In, you should really check it out. Because its pretty fabulous.
