David Cook & BOUH - Live in Northampton

May 26, 2009 11:46

So I went to Northampton Saturday night and saw David Cook in concert. And OH HOLY SHIT was it epic. I have a brief recap (I haven't written a full one yet because I can't wrap my head around it just yet) along with pictures and video to share. It was written at about 1am Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Just got back from the DC concert and holy SHIT. It was EPIC. EPIC. David and the boys were in a great mood, the crowd was amazing (I swear, if the roof could have blown off the place, it would have) and the setlist - THE FUCKING SETLIST. We got, (and I'm pretty sure this is the order)

Heroes
Mr. Sensitive
Breathe Tonight
Lie
Kiss On the Neck (With a verse of Hotel California)
Silver (Like, a verse and a half + chorus)
Make Me
Bar Ba Sol
Man In the Box
Always Be My Baby
Come Back to Me
Light On
A Daily Anthem

I was second row, Neal side for pretty much the entire concert and yeah. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything and I will write a full recap (i'm hoping it'll be in the next day or so. I also have pictures and video! David looked wicked hot, black v-neck tshirt and jeans, and every time he looked out into the audience, it was like he couldn't believe we were SO LOUD. It was seriously deafening. He couldn't seem to get over how LOUD we were. He told us that they've done about 60 concerts, and we're the best damn crowd that they've played for. He also made some comment about how if there was as manual as to how we should do him and every other show a favor and write the rules as to how it's supposed to be and post the damn thing. I was standing right next to the speaker, so my ears are ringing still (I can't hear a damn thing) but it was WELL WORTH IT. I grabbed David's hand when he came over to our side for ADAM and I was like, HOLYSHIT I'm holding DavidsexgodCook's hand. One of my favorite moments was at the end when everyone was singing along to ADAM and David looked out over the crowd and got all emotional. It was really sweet to see.

Some other funny highlights

• Somehow, Joey had a bra on his bass. Managed to hit himself in the face with it
• Someone threw a paper airplane onto the stage with the ultimatum of "Play Silver, or give everyone a refund" or something. David had a good laugh over it.
• There was a sign about how David was the prom song. He asked the girl who had the sign what song it was and when she said it was Time of My Life, he laughed and asked her if she did in fact have the time of her life. She said yes and then he said that there'd be no magic rainbows from him tonight. Maybe from Andy.

Um. That's all I can remember right now. I have pictures and video which I will try to get cleaned up and posted in the next day or so as well. I had a BLAST and even though we didn't stay after to see if David and the boys would come out - (IMO, because there was really NO barricade or anything by the buses and there were some people across the street and some by the stage entrance where they were loading out, there was NO WAY they were going to let DC out because it wasn't safe. Not to mention, the security guard asked everyone to get ONTO THE SIDEWALK and out the street and half the people didn't listen, yeah. They probably either didn't let him go out or waited to see if a lot of people left.) - I'm ok with that. Not to mention the fact that I barely handled the epicness that was the concert and if I met David and/or Neal I would probably say something dumb. I did meet Ryan Star though - what a cutie he is! He totally made me blush (that's a funny story within itself).

Picture time!

Videos! All are partials except for Always Be My Baby - it's full.
