(no subject)
this is one of the worst weeks of school... the final push before the downhill slide to the end. it's close enough to the end that we're all exhausted, but too far from the end to stop doing stuff. so it's just drag-on working.
i tried to fill this week with interesting/easy things for the kids and myself. unfortunately mondays and tuesdays labs that involved food (graham cracker/rice krispie treat/frosting plate tectonics 7th graders, oreo moon phases 8th graders) kind of fell apart... leaving me frustrated and disappointed. i learned some stuff to hopefully make them go more smoothly next year.
anyway i expected today to be 8th grader obnoxious since it was the aftermath of me being pissed off yesterday, but they were actually really good. the 7th graders had a test that went pretty well and was mostly electronically graded so I didn't make a whole lot of new work for myself.
i've been playing the new tomb raider, and i have breakfast sandwiches for dinner and pink lady apples in the fridge, and i've been playing guild wars again and having fun with that... so today went much better than expected and hopefully will extend into the evening.
we'll see how tomorrow goes, though. i'm a fucking roller coaster these days.
