So yeah, in Broadcasting class today, the first thing we did was tape Emily's group's project. Of course, Kara and I were sitting downstairs in the library and were *somewhat* late for class.. we were there! Just not IN the studio!! Anyway, we got there, did a run-thru which was horrible and you could tell that Emily was wishing that a few people in her group weren't in it (okay maybe just one) but me and Kara were on cameras so that was fun. Anyway, we FINALLY got that done and our professor came out of the control room and said: "Okay, tech people (me and Kara and the floor director and people in the control room) did a great job." and said nothing of the talent "What talent?" as he would say. He told me and Kara that he wanted to somewhat balance everything out, since so far in the semester, the groups have been clearly divided - talented people automatically pair up because they don't want someone less talented (or not talented at all) to bring them down; and the less talented people don't want to work with someone more talented because it'll make them look bad. So, he had half-and-half apparently. Well, this time, Emily's group made her look kinda bad, in our group - Joe did EVERYTHING and you could tell from his lines compared to the rest of ours. As far as the third group: they were pretty ho-hum. During THEIR taping, Kara and I basically just sat around. Fine by us. We took a bunch of pictures with our camera phones. Maybe not such a good idea since we took pics of the guys and two were supposed to be being filmed and two were supposed to be doing Tech. Only Lorenzo wasn't supposed to be doing something :) . Oh well - we got some cutey pictures!!
then... it alll went down!!! As we were walking out of the library, Kara and I were on our cell phones listening to the VoiceMails people had left us during class. Out of NOWHERE we get pelted from behind with snowballs!! We scream, turn around and see Chas, Chris, Lorenzo and Chavez running after us with huge chunks of snow!! So we threw our phones in our pockets and tried to pick up some snow to retaliate but, we didn't have gloves on and it was hard. They chased us all the way past the Phral Center. And we were cold. And sore. It's just not fair: four guys against two girls? We could have at least used Lorenzo or Chris. But no.
I'm praying there's no snow on the ground on Wednesday :(
Tonight, I'm goin to the gym with Jennifer. I'm keeping her there for a while, too!!
Then it's my weekly hour of battles: Battle of The Sexes2 and Battle for OzzFest.
I only have to do two more Christmas cards: Kyle and Adam. Then - I just realized - I need stamps =/
Um... what else? Oh, I f*n love the fact that all my teachers this semester don't believe in the traditional final exams! Just write a easy-as-fuck paper instead or better yet: Go have a snowball fight outside of the television studio (today!!)
but to all my friends who DO have finals/midterms: Good Luck.
