Back from Utah! Already miss it!
gah it was so awesome. possibly the most fun i've ever had. i felt so free. nothing can touch you! just flying down the hill... carving through valleys... and doing it all on powder is just... [insert the words that make you take your breath away].
some pictures:
this is me about to about to drop into the powder basin on the back side of the mountain. the runs there were by far my favorite. did a few jumps, some tree runs... oh my gosh it was awesome.
down towards the bottom of the mountain, the run i spent ridiculous amounts of time on learning how to turn.
dan and i at the peak. (is it possible to love anyone this much? <3) you can tell that i got sunburnt.
the only non-amazing part was the drive back. we basically got caught up in this ridiculous storm system. we had to pull off the road for a little while because we were in the middle of a whiteout. visibility was like... not quite to the truck in front of us... so we got off at an exit... in buford, wyoming. population TWO. seriously, the guys i was with really had to pee so they marked their territory and we might own some of buford now. who has a town with two people?
still, made it back safe, and am so refreshed. granted, i want to drop out of school and board forever... it was nice to experience some powder for once...
man snowboarding makes me happy.
