Pale skin against equally pale skin; one, tinted gray from captivity, the other, lacking pale rose from worry.
Blond on blonde, heads bowed.
Pale hair against equally pale hair; one, hued near white and rustling like straw from a lack of care, the other, golden and soft as the words they speak.
Pink on pink, love communicated.
Pale lips against equally pale lips; one, rough and cracked from a dry, cold air that permeates, the other, supple and smooth and seeking to offer comfort.
White. Blonde. Pink. Separated for all time by bars of gray.
