Hi hi. I'm in Kirkhof right now waiting to go to my meeting with Professor Lotz to check out my grade in my writing class. I think I did well on that paper. Ok, so I hear a song by Josh Groban playing in one room and I hear someone playing Heart and Soul on the piano in the other room...argh...stupid heart and soul. I had such a great time last night. At 5:55 my freshman seminar class had to meet at our room. I brought Tess with me because I didn't really know what to expect. We took the bus downtown and that dropped us off at the DeVos campus. The campus downtown is beautiful. I'm definately taking classes there next year. We toured around the Devos and the other building there...can't think of the name of it. Then, we walked across this super pretty bridge all decorated for Christmas. It's across the Grand River...a pretty large river if I might add. Then, we went to this restaurant called San Chez's. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It's a tapas bistro. It's authentic spanish food. I am going back there asap. It's not a very big place but it's kinda big...2 levels and really neatly decorated. Our Prof had been there a couple times and he said it's such a neat experience and we need to go there. So, it was him, my freshman seminar class (11 people), and 2 people brought friends. Our waiter guy helper dude was so funny. He shift was almost over so we weren't entertained by him for that long, but he looked like a twisted Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. He had this super long beard thing braided and really big side burns and he was gay. Which made it even better. Plus, he was wearing a Santa Hat. When our actual waiter was telling us about the menu the guy was like acting stuff out...like when he said the word 'hot' the silly guy took off his Santa hat and was like swinging it around in a stripper manner...it was funny. But then he left...and we got to eat. The food was awesome. We had the waiter order for us because we had no idea what to get. The tapas are like mini meals that everyone passes around and tries a little bit. Our first round were starters so kinda like an appetizer. I couldn't even begin to tell what I ate, but all I know is that it was good. Then, our next round came, more of the main meal. They had steak, chicken, duck (poor daffy) ,fish, shrimp thing, pheasant and snake (didn't touch that one), and just some other super good dishes. So, needless to say no food was wasted. OMG THEN DESSERT CAME! That was the best course ever. If and when I go back there all I am ordering are the desserts. They had truffles with a triple chocolate brownie on top, upside down cheesecake, this triple chocolate cake with ice cream, whipped cream, and rasberries, this bread pudding stuff, crem brulie ( i have no clue how to spell it i'm not french). Ugh..all the girls were in heaven. HEAVEN! Even the guys were too...they fought over the cheesecake. I didn't care because I'm not a big fan of cheesecake. Tess and I would have killed anyone who touched the truffels. They had this rasberry liquoir thing on them..omgosh amazing. So, I need to go back there. It was kinda expensive though, but really not too bad. It was $240 plus tip for 14 people. It averaged down to like 18 bucks a person...and I don't think you normally get 3 rounds of tapas with 6 in each round...so yea. Super good. Then, when we got back around 9 I had to go pick up the exam care package my mummy bought for me. I got a bunch of snacks and coffee and tea and hot chocolate(the kind with the little marshmellows in it so Chris if you're reading this, it's all yours)and a traveling mug. So, yesterday after 6 turned out to be a good day. I think I'm back to normal...out of the funk I was in. I guess I just need to get out more, which I'll be doing next semester. Well, I'm cold so I'm going to get something warm to drink, or just go sit where there's heat. Ok wow this is a decently long entry! Heh, so i'll prolly update later tonight about what went on for the rest of the day today...so talk later!!
