I know it's been forever since I updated!
Hello everyone. I am sorry I neglected you. So much has been on my mind lately and LJ wasn't a priority. But, enough of that... it's time for an update!
California was strange and wonderful all at the same time. I don't want to bore you with all of the details so, I will just tell you my overall feel of L.A. It was nothing like NY. I couldn't believe that people there drive everywhere. In my opinion things didn't seem all that far to begin with. I could have walked most places but, the mere suggestion caused people to gasp!
I was also surprised to see so many sickly women! I know all different body types exist but, I think it's obvious when someone is not naturally thin yet, they are so skinny you can blow on them and cause them to fall over. I saw countless women that looked like they escaped a concentration camp. I wanted to reach out to them and offer them a cheeseburger or some rice and beans. I felt sad for them.
I also had a few "celebrity" sightings. I stopped Chuch Woolery (The Love Connection host) and asked him where the Sushi place is. I also screamed "I know you! You were on t.v. I used to watch T.V. all of the time!!!". He then proceeded to tell me to get a life! LOL Needless to say he didn't know where the sushi place was.
I also saw Camryn Manheim (sp?) from the show The Practice. I was at a meeting with my L.A. agent so, I didn't get to talk to her.
I shot with the photographer the first 2 days I was out there. The rest of the time I spent with my friend Fluvia. We went to Sizeappeal.com where they took some pics of me to put on their site and they let me pick $500.00 worth of clothes! It was awesome and they were super nice. I also went to a dinner to meet my agent and show them the new pictures. They said they loved my look. I also went to their party in Orange County. That was very interesting.
Overall it was a great time. I would go back again, but I would never live there. I am a New Yorker for life!
I also got a little surprise when I got back. My magazine debut!
