1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
-WENT TO COLLEGE
-Stayed up the entire night with no sleep (this was the night before Penultimate Camp)
-Cried on the shoulder of someone (TWO people, actually) that I had a crush on
-Read entire plays in a day

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousins. AGAIN. Also, my BFF's older sister.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully no.

5. What countries did you visit?
HOLY CRAP I NEVER LEFT THE COUNTRY THIS YEAR.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A boyfriend. Go figure.

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August 11th (the day Space Opera was run)
November 9th, 11th, and 13th (the presentation days of my Cloud Nine group)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Graduating High School Valedictorian

9. What was your biggest failure?
Virtually abandoning all the creative projects I began this year (with the obvious exception of Space Opera), such as the Five Moons epilogue, the Atlantis comic, and the College of Jeeves and Wooster Photo Tour.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I was sick with a reaction to the swine flu vaccine a month or two back. I HAD TO MISS ONE OF OUR BATMAN CLASSES BECAUSE OF THAT.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
The Complete Jeeves and Wooster DVD box set (despite the fact that they came out with the slim-pack version just A MONTH after I bought the big bulky one).

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Brennan, Dave, gheofabulousduk, and Ryan for all being there when I needed them.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Malcolm. I think I've posted enough entries about this. Although I think "appalled" is a bit of a strong word for him...

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food and books. I cut down on new manga by a FUCKTON this year.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
SPACE OPERA. AND COLLEGE. AND NOT-BEING-IN-HIGH-SCHOOL-ANYMORE.

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Uninstall by Chiaki Ishikawa

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
(a) happier or sadder? Happier!
(b) thinner or fatter? Fatter, I'm afraid.
(c) richer or poorer? You know, considering all the college-money I've inherited combined with all I've spent this year, I really have no idea.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Writing and drawing.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
RE-WATCHING NOSTALGIA CRITIC. SWEET JESUS WHY IS THAT SHOW SO ADDICTIVE.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
Watching movies with the 'rents. First Sherlock Holmes, then Ratatouille.

21. Did you fall in love in 2009?
I got two new crushes, but I don't think that counts.

22. What was your favorite TV program?
Tie between Jeeves and Wooster, Blackadder, and House (because the season 6 premier will restore your faith in everything. It really will). Doctor Who is gaining ground REALLY fast, though.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I don't think so...

24. What was the best book you read?
Carry On, Jeeves.

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Either Uninstall, Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra, In This Diary by The Ataris, or Telephone/Paparazzi/Bad Romance by Lady GaGa.

26. What did you want and get?
An easy time transitioning into college.

27. What did you want and not get?
A part in Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off.

28. What was your favourite film of this year?
I'm going to cheat a little and say Paprika. I know it came out a few years ago, but I didn't actually SEE it until early this year.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
OH MY GOD I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT I DID FOR MY OWN 18TH BIRTHDAY WHAT THE FUCK

30. What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
COLLEGE

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
T-shirts can no longer just be about ANYTHING.

32. What kept you sane?
The knowledge that I wouldn't have to put up with high school anymore.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
HUGH LAURIE AND STEPHEN FRY. BECAUSE.

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The fact that Obama doesn't really seem to be doing much.

35. Who did you miss?
Pretty much everyone ever, at some point. I've missed my parents and my old friends while at Wooster, my Wooster friends while on break, my Wayfinder friends right now...

Not everyone values the same things that you do.
