The nature of hugging

Oct 22, 2009 02:16

Something I may've learned just now:

- When it comes to hugging, environment has an impact. It's probably better done where it's warm than where it's cold.

I dunno.

I just had the inevitable "let go of Malcolm, he obviously doesn't care about you, remember your real friends who do care about you" talk with Ryan out on the porch (where it was cold) and there was much shivering. This happens when cooler temperatures and emotional distress collide. It's not pleasant.

And I'm still trying to figure out if that's why our epic hug at the end didn't do for me what I thought it would. Still feeling heart-achy and a little shivery. Then again, still getting over emotional stuff and IT'S REALLY EARLY.

Hah, almost like going back to my early Wayfinder days when I still had a crush on Griffin. Except I think that was worse on some levels. It was my first serious crush, I wasn't used to the emotions, and I was younger and probably that much more hormonally charged.

So the real-life hug doesn't quite do it for me (even though that was what I'd been waiting for all night), but I read a brief excerpt from a Jooster fanfic on a similar subject and along comes the WAFF.

This confuses me.

OKAY SERIOUSLY HANNAH BED

But really, Ryan is a truly amazing and wonderful person.
