Anime reviews!
Went to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden...blah-de-blah-de-blah...It's that time of year again when I wake up on Saturday morning to find the ReplayTV full of my favorite shows (animes mostly) that are starting new seasons and have 1 new episode a week. Here's the line-up so far:
Mew Mew Power: What can I say? I'm a sucker for cartoons about girls and animals. Who kick ass. Yep. New season started yesterday. I've read all the mangas so I know where the series ends up, I just wish they'd hurry that up a little bit. Still, it's great to see the show back on again.
Sonic X: YES. YES. YES. YES. YES. FINALLY they get to a storyline that we haven't seen before in the games! And I'm lovin' it! Woot! My only problem (spoiler!): WHY DID THEY HAVE TO TURN CHRIS BACK INTO A KID?
Naruto: I've heard great things about the manga (I skimmed through vol. 1), and I've heard all the high hope people have had for the anime. I thought, just for the hell of it, I'd check out the first episodes. If that technique got me into Fullmetal Alchemist, I figured the same might happen here. Did Naruto live up to all the hype?
Hell no.
The VERY FIRST LINE SPOKEN was "Twelve years ago, a nine-tailed fox suddenly appeared!" and HOLY FUCK DID THE VOICE ACTING SUCK (hey, that rhymes!). About halfway through the second episode, I pretty much gave up and decided that this wasn't something I wanted to waist my time with.
Fullmetal Alchemist: GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT SHOW. I owe SO MUCH to Kayla for introducing me to this. It ROWKS! XD Great story, great voice acting, great atmosphere, great over-all presentation. The new season is starting next Sunday, I belive. Can't wait! XD
Crystal Quote of the day: (We're on the bus, Steve is singing "Octopus' Garden" by The Beatles, and this other kid is trying to talk over him. Steve gets pissed.) Steve- "I'd like to be under the sea in the GODDAMN FRIGGIN' GARDEN in the shade..."
