Shopaholic

I read Confessions of a Shopaholic way back when it first came out. I thought I remembered what it was about...turns out, what I remembered was a warped jumbled story that combines the plot and characters from all kinds of similar books, including everything from helen fielding and susan elizabeth phillips to every cute girly book I've read since.  I went to see the movie the other day, and didn't even flinch when it was set in America instead of England. It niggled at the back of my mind as I watched that it seemed a bit different from what I remembered, but how or why was unclear.

So then I talked to my friend who also had gone to see it, and turns out they changed just about everything! I mean...everything...job, circumstance, his job and circumstance, nationality, plot, you name it...but hey whatever...the movie was cute.

So...now I'm rereading the book to remember what I've forgotten. And I'm giggling aloud as I do. Because this book is really funny. I knew it was..but had forgotten why.

When I'm done I might reread The Undomestic Goddess, b/c I remember that I liked that one even better. I specifically remember sitting in the jury room and feeling like an idiot b/c I kept laughing aloud while everyone else sat silently. It was funny.
