new year's resolution...only 2 monthsish early
I should write in here more often. I've kind of abandoned the LJ world for Myspace, which is wrong on so many levels.
I've decided to make myself write in here more often. I mean, when I'm a famous writer twenty years from now this is the junk people will be looking for. heh. One can wish eh?
But, seriously, if I ever do want to pursue this writing career with more fervor than I am now, I should get some good practice. This would be such an outlet for that practice.
Plus, I think poetry is a lost art. I want to bring it back into American literature and society as something that is modern, not just from a dusty old person that has no relevance to the 21st century beyond giving us some warm fuzzies about our relationships.
Poetry should be moving to the soul, cause you to action. We have plenty we need action on these days.
I went back and reread some of my entries from the past. GOOD LORD...I was such an idiot. Oh well. Ive decided to keep these entries to remind me of how much I've progressed (hopefully) and etc. etc.
It's 2 a.m. I wish I had resolved to write in here more often at say, 11, then I would have more to say.
For now this is it. I need to get to sleep. It's been such a long day.
