i've been listening to live recordings of different songs all night. i don't know why, but they kind of make me sad. here are some of the ones i can't get enough of:

1. sarah harmer & john k samson - islands in the stream (bee gees cover)
2. ron sexsmith & gord downie - take me in your hand
3. joel plaskett - the news of your son
4. built to spill - i try (macy gray cover)
5. radiohead - black star

i'm so frustrated with so many things lately. i can't focus on schoolwork and i don't really care, and that is bad. all i want to do is sit and wallow in my misery and indecision and grumpiness.

mostly, i'm terribly frustrated with my fencing and i'm just not sure what to do about it. i am kind of dreading brock because i think it's going to be an embarrassment. RMC was ok but not as much fun as last year. i did exact revenge on a really good fencer from the ottawa club who hurt me and then made me mad, although we still lost to them by a huge margin. those girls made the RMC team seem glowingly friendly. ugh.

i am bruised and battered and i have a test in four hours, so i should go now.
