SPEAK!!! RAPE NEVER = PORN!!!
So when i checked my twitter day before work, i found out that some asshole is trying to ban Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. He is calling it 'soft porn' Do u want to know what speak is about? ITS ABOUT A GIRL WHO IS RAPED!!! There is two RAPE scenes and this asshole who has the nerve to call himself a christian and a professor is calling RAPE SOFT PORN!!!!

CC gave me this book when she read this in school. She said it would be good for me cause it was after I sent my middle school librarian to jail for assaulting me. and u know what, it did! And i bet it has helped other kids who have been raped/assaulted too. and this is a subject that NEEDS to be talked about! Do u have any idea how long that there were rumors going around about the jerk i sent to jail? My friend's mom knows someone her age who went to my middle who probably raped by him. FOR THAT LONG!!! I was one of three who forward, and i know of two others who didnt. I was the only one willing to speak against him. I sent his ass to jail. AND I WOULD DO SO AGAIN!!!
Sometimes im sad i didn't tell my classmates i sent him to jail cause the girl who went to the police first was picked on horriblely and i was too afraid to say anything. The school loved him and he was replaced by a witch. I was picked on enough so i didnt say anything. People STILL think we were lying. WE WEREN'T!!!! I still do this day hate libraries and Im afraid of male librarians. I hate to be in crammed in small places with lots of people like cars and includes my family!! I finch inside when people touch me even if its my bff, cc, or just an old lady at work thanking me for helping her. I finch. I cinch. I feel my sink crawl. I have been like this since 7th grade when the girl went to cops. i was 13. im now 22, nine years later and im STILL not better. Yes I got better when he was found guilty. That was a great day! And if he was found innocent I wouldnt have regretted going to trial cause i did what was right. I told the truth. I told the truth.
This book helped feel like i wasnt alone and helped me realize what i did was right. This needs to be talked about in school! And ANYONE who calls rape porn, cant know what it is like to have ur voice taken away from stuff like this and they DONT deserve be apart a church.
