So many squirrels, so little time

A few weeks ago Mom took me to lexicat's farm. I liked it there; I got to be petted and adored, as I should be, by a number of different people. There was only one person I really didn't like there, and I told him so in no uncertain terms. WOOF! Best of all, I got to chase around wild turkeys, and no one yelled at me to stop. I wanted to catch one for dinner. They are slow and stupid, and I am a speedy, clever dog. Unfortunately, I am not a flying dog. There was no turkey dinner.

A few weeks ago I made a new dog friend. Her name is Madeleine, and she is a pretty ghostly grey colour. She is German too, and she is a pushy bitch like me. I want to see Madeleine again.

I really love Mom's friend bewandered. I let him know this by wagging my tail whenever I see him, just like I do for Mom. He doesn't eat meat (what's WRONG with him?! chicken necks are divine!) but he feeds me my dinner sometimes and dogsits me. He is more fun to walk with than Mommy--she won't let me stop and read the National Dawg Enquirer at every telephone pole like I want to. Johan lets me smell everything I want. I like his house, too. I have a bed and a crate there, and cats to chase. Lima Bean is a respected cat. She is very old, and she told me when she met me that she had lived outside for thirteen years and seen dogs who were much scarier than me. Then she swatted me a good one on my nose. I got the hint, and I leave Lima Bean alone. Sometimes I like to snack on her cat food when no one is looking, though. Ha, ha!

Phoebe Cat is another matter. Johan calls her Popo, which means "butt" in German, and that is a good name for her. She is mean and bitchy for no reason. She taunts me by acting nice and then I go over to smell her, and she hisses and swats. I didn't do anything! And then Mom and Johan say "FREY-a" in That Voice. Phoebe needs a good chasing. I wouldn't eat her, but I'd sure like to see her run.
