Shameless plug - and a forwarded one none the less - but is for two good causes: A great charity and encouraging a very impressive young lady.
drfell's friend's daughter,
Katia "Iron Kat" Graf, races each year to raise money for the Make-a-Wish foundation. In the past four years of racing, she has earned three wins and a bronze and raised over $11,500.
This year, she will be running her first triathlon for Make-a-Wish, as she joins the 9-10 age group. That's right...she's 9. She trains like a champ year round, and all to support a great cause. This year, she's trying to raise $4,000 by May 3 and she's close!
Nobody will know if, or how much, you give so there's no guilt pressure. But if this is a cause (or an athlete) you'd like to lend support to, every penny helps not just her, but the lucky kids who benefit from Make-a-Wish's good work.
Here's the link if you want to check it out! And here's the Kat hard at work:
Now I'm back to painting the house. The downstairs bathroom is going to be black, red, and silver. Haters will be painted.
