That's exciting news for you! How did the collaboration come about? What are prices going to be like, and when do you expect to start selling?

Hey! How was the meet up yesterday? I wanted to go but I had a lot of work for MG to do, and I felt pretty ill also, I think its nerves.

But anyway, Ashlee and I were just talking about our brands and jokingly was like, wouldn't it be fun to do a collab! XD It stemmed for jokingly talking about it, we both wanted to release our own brand eventually, but when we got to talking we realized it would become a faster reality if we worked together on it. Fei contacted a few manufacturers in China, we found one we fell in love with and all of us agree on that said companies quality, so we've got them. Pricing is not set in stone yet, but def. cheaper than brand, we're a new company and we feel so many American brands issue is they charge Japanese brand price, Japanese brands can charge that because they are reputable among others, we're not, we want this to be a nice affordable experience! We want to debut in the summer, its looking very possible. :D

The meet was a lot of fun, but since so many people were sick, I think it would have been better if more people had been able to come. I had a blast though--I got to see Chi and Christy start on a dress for me, and it just amazed me how talented they are to be able to improvise so well. Whenever they made a mistake, they were able to alter the design in a way that really improved upon the original. XD

It's really lucky that you were able to meet Fei, who has so many connections and who has been so supportive of your ideas. Of course entrepreneurs need initiative to succeed, but I think they also need connections and luck. Sometimes you just find yourself in the right place in the right time. I'm sure you must be excited about all the new developments; it's really cool.

Oh yeah, I also meant to ask who was going to do the mock ups for your designs? Do you or Ashlee or Kim sew? And if your nerves are getting the better of you, I know Kate and I are always willing to help in whatever small ways we can.

I am glad the meet was fun~! Christy and Chi are amazing seamstresses. It seems fun to see your dress being made right in front of you~! :D

Well initially, I didn't even know Fei wanted to do a lolita company, I just came into work one day and she was like, so yeah, Lolita store? XD I was amazed at how well she educated herself on the fashion. She knew what was good and what was bad, what material needed to be, quality of lace, etc. I'm very lucky about Fei being so well connected in China. Without her, this would not be a reality.

The factory is going to do a sample piece for us. :D It's best to have them do it because they will be doing all of them on a large scale, but you and Kate are welcome to come view the sample! We should have the sample heart purses we designed in by Anime stl. We'd love feedback from other Lolita about it :D Once things get more established, you and Kate's help will be most appreciated.

The sample is being produced directly by the factory? Wow, that's actually pretty awesome of them. Most of the other start-up brands I've heard of had to produce the mock-ups on their own (then again, Vivcore and La Dauphine both are manufactured in the US, so that probably has something to do with it somewhere; it's also what drove their prices up so high in the end).

I'm honestly genuinely curious about the print design aspect of things, actually. Printmaker/viscommie in me gets the best of things every time.

Yeah, It won't be a big deal for them to create the sample!! :D I'll def. let you know when it arrives so you all can see it, but its going to be embroidered then jewels and pearls will be added in addition.

In China is over $10,000. just for the fabric, but its over a mile and a half of fabric, we're negotiating with them to do less, but eventually we will have a fabric printed design. :D Next year is what we're thinking.
