Pretty new haircut
Got my hair did today, finally. The grown-out emo mullet wasn't working anymore, so I got some nice, soft layers put in. I'm thinking of growing it out a bit, seeing what I can do with longer hair. Right now, I've got it semi-straightened out for the party tonight, which I fear I will never get to because Lucy takes NINE FUCKING YEARS to get ready. By the time we get there, Audra will already be in the back making sweet monkey love to Tim, everyone will already be too drunk to stand, and the fun will be over. I swear, if I didn't love that girl as deeply as I do, I'd beat her. Well, not really, but I'd give her a sterner talking-to than simply calling her a hobag.
It looks like I may be forced to stay in Baltimore for Hallowe'en after all. Karen offered the good suggestion of renting a car, and I'm going to look into that, but even with mixing my modes of transportation--bus one way, flight back--the lowest I could find was $153. I have to admit that a car drive that long is a bit intimidating for me, especially since I don't have roadside service or anything with my new insurance, but I'd take lots of breaks and listen to loud, fast keep-you-awake music and pump myself full of caffeine (but not Brendan levels), so maybe that'd work. I'll keep you all abreast of the situation as it plays out.
Going away dinner with Agnes was wonderful tonight. I love that girl and wish that we could hang out more often than we do. Thai food makes my life worth living.
