Last Weekend Couldn't Have Been Better! - Part 1
The Shows:
Though our flight was late, we got into LA in time to do a full rehearsal on Friday afternoon which was great as the venue and stage were a bit different then how we had imagined it. The hotel that they put us up in was absolutely beautiful, and had quite a bit of history to it. Apparently, or so I was told, they came up with the concept for the Oscars at this hotel, and some of the first few Oscars events were held there. The shows went really well, and some very good friends showed up for the second show which made me REALLY happy! *Thank you M & K! It meant so very much to me that you two were there!* John said that the people who hired us really liked us, so I am hoping they will have us back. Oh yeah, and a funny thing happened to us on our way to Starbucks the morning of the shows. We walked out of our hotel, and spied this taxi driver parked in the middle of the street changing his license plate. We were all thinking, "What a freakin' lunatic! What the hell is he thinking?!" Yep, we thought that right up until we realized that the street was closed off because they were shooting a movie, and they guy was changing all of the license plates to New York plates. Yeeaaah, bunch of brainiacs we are. :)
