As I'm sure most have already heard and I'm the last to update about it, Mountain Empire had a bomb threat yesterday. There are so many nut jobs around here that it's not even funny. I was sitting in the grill with Oreo and the fire alarm went off, so we just left all of our stuff and went outside. When we got outside we knew that it was more than a fire drill because there were already cops coming up the hill. We stood outside forever and I froze my butt off then Oreo gave me his keys so I could sit in his car. Thankfully Dylan and Johnny were with me, so I wasn't all alone. I did have to drive through the traffic by myself though because I had to go wait on Oreo because he was helping to tell people that we didn't have class. I called Brad and he met us in Big Stone around 9:30 I guess and we all went to McDonald's. We ended up sitting and talking to Joe for a while, then Sara called so me, Oreo, and Brad went over to her house. Oreo took us to Gate City through Rye Cove. I had never been over there, but it was beautiful when we got to the top of the mountain. I forgot what it was called though. We got over to Sara's around 11 I guess and we watched The Family Guy movie and just sat and talk forever and played with Sara's cats. She has 1 cat named Butterball and he doesn't have any front teeth. It's so sad, but he's so cute. He slobbers because there's nothing there to hold it in, but he's one of the sweetest cats I've ever met. Just hanging out and not really doing nothing is something that we haven't really done in a while because there's never really time for it up at the college and there's always so many people around. We left there around 4:30 and Oreo took us back to Duffield to get Brad's car. Brad had to go to work, but that night me and Brad went and hung out again.
So, despite the bomb threat and all that, yesterday was a great day. We didn't really do nothing except hang out with friends and talk, but it was fun. I'm just glad we didn't have to go to class either. But on the down side, I had to leave my bookbag at school and we have a Psychology test today. In my bookbag I had my Psychology book and my notes that I had made for the test. I was going to study last night, but I didn't get to get my bookbag until this morning, so I didn't get to study. I'm going to try to spend this morning reading and looking over stuff, so hopefully I'll do good on the test.
