April Fool's... Nothing special, really.

Apr 01, 2009 22:17

Before I begin, well, I wasn't able to post anything yesterday because Papa brought the laptop in his office. [and it's not like I can complain since this thing I'm using is his property anyway. :D]

So, today is April Fool's Day but as my title suggests, nothing really unusual happened to me. These past few days I've been sleeping more than the usual. I am actually more awake in the evening than in the morning which is definitely not a good thing. I guess I better take good care of my health now.

Right now I am patiently waiting for Love Song Production's release of the rest of the episodes of RESCUE. I just checked their LJ and found out that they have released ep5 [yipee! Thanks guys!] but I'm still waiting for some kind soul to reupload it to Mediafire [My connection is such a slowpoke but thanks to DAP, I can somehow feed my addiction to JE videso :P].

Last Sunday, I think, I sent nafiza, a Kinki Kids' fan, a message asking her if she can sub Yui's episode in Shindoi [hehe. I really am a bit thick-faced when it comes to getting the things I want.] Well, she didn't say 'Yes' but she didn't say 'No' either. It isn't the most interesting episode of Shindoi according to her but as long as there's Yui, I'm fine with it. :D Nafiza said she's also Yui's fan so I believe there is a good chance she'll do it. Right now she's prioritizing the other projects she has began.  [hehe. I'm kinda trying to be a bit persuasive here without being too blatant. :P]

Oh, and there's something that's gonna keep me a bit busy for the entire month[and help me forget even for a bit that I'm a complete bum]. My friend and I decided to send an entry in the JPop and Anime Singing Competition organized by the Embassy of Japan.

Haha! This is my first time to join a singing contest after, what, 15 years? lol. I don't have any vocal training whatsoever so I'm not really very confident. But my frind is a former choir member so she knows what she's doing, I'm just gonna rely on her to teach me then. haha!~

The prize isn't very enticing if you ask me [Japanese Language courses from the Nihongo Center Foundation] but we're only doing this for fun. We're not even expecting to get into the top ten who'll perform in the finals since I know that there are alreasy lots of amateur bands here who have been playing Japanese music for quite some time. lol. But well, who knows? we might be lucky.^^

Those who are interested should form a group of three to ten members. My friend and I will do the singing and her brother will play the guitar for us. Participants are asked to send a demo cd with two songs. We chose Tegomass' Kiss Kaerimichi no Love Song and uhm, probably Seishun Amigo. lol. It was actually I who suggested that we sing that song but... haha! Anyway, our second song is either Shuuji to Akira's Seishun Amigo or ayaka's Okaeri. :D We are already practicing Tegomass' song. I'll be singing Massu's parts. :P I originally wanted to sing Tegoshi's parts but since my friend is a better singer and Tegoshi's singing the higher notes [she fell in love with Tegoshi's parts!], I gave in. :) We actually had a deal. If she chose to sing Tegoshi's, then Tomo-chan's parts in Seishun Amigo will be mine. haha! It was hard for her to give up Tomo-chan's parts [she's a die-hard. lol!]. But we might end up not singing Seishun Amigo anyway. :P
