Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Peter Parker... move over baby!

GenCon 2012 is a major gaming convention that also has authors and artists that produce science fiction, fantasy and RPG materials.

I'm going in August (16-19 plus travel), so I thought why not see about getting a press badge.

I was approved today, so Huzzah! Hurrah! Yea Me!

The Author Guest of Honor this year is Brandon Sanderson, who is completing Robert Jordon's Wheel of Time series.  (Last year it was RA Salvatore who is going to be there this year too) (And if I'm super lucky I might get to speak with Margaret Weis or Tracy Hickman as they come every year)

Some of the writers of the Writer's Symposium who I might actually get to meet and interview:
Tim Waggoner, Donald Bingle, Jean Rabe, John Helfers, Kerrie Hughes, Pat Rothfuss, Paul Genesse, Daniel "Doc" Myers, Richard Lee Byers, Sabrina Klein, Steven Schend, Chris Pierson, Brad Beaulieu, Janet Deaver-Pack, Marc Tassin, Kelly Swails, Elizabeth Vaughan, Gregory A. Wilson, Monica Valentinelli, Jennifer Brozek, Jim C. Hines, and Anton Strout.

I'm doing research now on books they've written and who has things coming out in the near future and what events they're participating in.  I think I need to see who will talk to me and who wants their books promoted and go from there.

Its only 90 days away now.

games: i plays dem, i can write?, examiner.com, gencon, i can has book?, i read...alot!, book meme
