streets of fire
It's starting to get colder out at night and I love it. The main thing that made me happy today was that Ann came to Lansing to take an oral exam at the hospital and we spent the evening together. We went out for pizza at Pizza House and then went to Shuk's house to grab her bike and then came back here and played with the cats and watched a movie. I miss living with her, she was one of my bestest roomies of all time.
Another sign that I am an old fart: I hate it when the chaos happens with new students coming to East Lansing taking over MY town. It's bad that I see it that way, it's just a lot better when I can go places without there being a million people around and the town is kind of sleepy. That's why I like living here in the summer. Starting next week it will be madness and it will probably take me twice as long to get to work in the morning. I also have a class on campus (animal nutrition) so that will be a blast.
I got paid today for cat sitting, and they brought me gifts from Russia and England. I really enjoyed cat sitting and actually grew quite close to them by the time I was done (and quite addicted to the Young and the Restless..but that is another story). If you know anyone who needs their cat sat for (or even dog) let me know!
I have to go to my cousin's bridal shower tomorrow (puke). The only good thing about it is that I get to wear my cute skirt I bought a while ago and haven't had the occasion to wear. It's times like this I wish I had good jewelry to wear.
