I love Wittenberg!
So an update has been long in coming, but I've been so busy with everything else I've kind of been slacking. And since I still have some homework I need to finish, this entry will just be an overview of whats been going on. At least, I hope it will-I always start with that intention and then end up writing for 30 minutes lol. Here goes!
1. Classes are good, but a lot more difficult than last year. Especially my english class-it is seriously kicking my butt. But I really enjoy it, so its worth it.
2. Arwen and I pretty much have a third roommate-Kristina! I met Kristina last year during "My Fair Lady", and we kept in touch over the summer through email. This year I moved in and discovered that Kristina lives in the room directly below Arwen and I. She began spending a lot of time up here, and now we just leave the door unlocked at all times and its like she lives here. And I LOVE IT! I love hanging out with her-she understand me in a very uncanny way. Even if I'm having the worst of days, she comes up and we watch Sex & The City and have a girls night and it becomes an awesome day! Lol so yay for that.
3. I made Just Eve!!! Just Eve is the girls accapella group here, and I have wanted to be in it since last year. I knew most of the girls in it, and Leslie and Laura were both in it. I tried out Tuesday night and went to callbacks last night. I got a call about 11 last night from Laura and she was like "we need to ask you a few more questions" and told me to wait outside and someone would pick me up. Ashley pulls up and told me to get in and we went around and picked up 5 other girls. Then she proceeded to tell us that they had to narrow it down more and that they needed to hear us sing again. I was like nooooooooo!! We got to the apartment, walk in, and all of Just Eve was there and they yelled congratulations. Ashley had just made it up! Lol I was so surprised. And unbelievably happy! I am so excited for the coming year-its going to be awesome! So YAY for JUST EVE!
4. I've met someone. I told myself that I was done looking for someone, and that I could be on my own. And after the past 5 months of being single and being on my own, I know that I can. But Trinity was right-last year she told me that when I was least expecting it, and when I wasn't looking, it would happen. And it did. His name is Eric. He attended Wittenberg last year, first semester. We actually dated for about a month last year, but then we just kind of stopped talking. Then he came to visit Arwen two weekends ago because they are good friends, and it just happened. The night before he left we stayed up all night talking. It was amazing. Then the next day he called me and we both knew that something amazing had begun between us, and neither of us wanted to let it go. But there was a difficulty-he is going to be living in Savannah, Georgia. He is going to be attending Savannah College of Art and Design. Knowing that we wouldn't be able to see each other very often at all was somewhat discouraging, but we both knew we could do it. Soo...we're together. And I couldn't be happier. He actually came back last weekend-drove 3 1/2 hours-and spent Thursday-Sunday with me. It was amazing. Lol I keep using that word, and its not even close to what it was. There are no words. :) He left to go down to Savannah Tuesday, and he starts school tomorrow. We talk every day, and every night. I know that this distance is going to be difficult, but I know we can make it work. I'm flying down there for Fall break, and he is going to try to fly up in the beginning of November. We are going to spend Thanksgiving together, and he is out of school from Thanksgiving til after New Years. So during that time we will get to be together. I can't wait. I am so glad that I got all my priorities in line this summer. And I am so glad that I had time to be on my own and realize I can be happy with just me. I'm not sure I ever really loved myself. I've heard it said that you cannot love anyone else until you love yourself. Now that I love myself, I am ready to love Eric. And I love him more than I ever thought possible.
Whew! Longer than I expected, but not too bad. Now its time for homework. I hope everyone is doing well!
