How does the movie compare to the book?

Re: bacteria. It's like how the aliens in signs could be killed with WATER. What kind of stupid aliens are they? They have the technology for intergalactic space travel and planetary domination, yet they're not smart enough to know that Earth is 1/3 water and that's there's moisture in the atmosphere? And they can't even break down wooden pantry doors in old country houses. Geez.

i haven't read the book. but according to a friend, the book is better. doesn't change the ending, but it makes it more acceptable daw. i plan to read it soon to see for myself.

i know. i liked signs the way i liked war of the worlds. everything but the storyline. haha!
