Holy crap. March 16th? Really? *shakes fist at… well…whoever came up with that* I mean, damn. This episode had it all. It was one of the best this season. First it was supposed to be the 9th, now it’s longer. I think this deserves a resounding crapshitdamn.
I was sad to see that after ignoring Hallucifer for so long, Sam broke when he thought something had happened to Dean. Now that Hallucifer knows which buttons to push, I can only imagine that this isn’t going to bode well in the future. And that has me worried. I am wondering, however, is he real? Or just in Sam’s head?
Maybe it’s just me, but I was sorely wishing that Dean would’ve unloaded a round into Jeffrey. Killing his dog for some stupid summoning. Sorry, but as an animal lover, I wanted to kill him myself. (Mind you, the character, not the actor, lol.)
I thought this was a great episode, and the fact that we have to wait so long until the next is very frustrating. :-p
I loved the flashback to four years ago. It was great seeing Baby again, and Dean wearing his necklace. And it was interesting bringing Lilith up. I recently read something (from The Mythology of Supernatural) about Lilith and the Leviathans I thought was interesting. I don’t remember if I brought this up yet or not before, but here goes:
Isaiah 27:1: “In that day God, with his mighty sword, shall punish Leviathan the piercing serpent, even Leviathan that Slant Serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
It also mentions that the coupling of Lilith and her consort Samael came to be known as Leviathan.
Added to that that this episode was the first time Lilith - or anyone connected to Lilith - had been mentioned in ages, it might be grasping at straws, but it is interesting. And the fact that it mentions dragons, and dragons are from Purgatory, and Leviathans are from Purgatory… I don’t know, it seems to be a big coinky-dink.
