You know the ending kind of shocked me - because killing the mom, okay if she is a monster then I guess I get it but leaving the monster kid without means to feed without killing now? I know that would be a hard call but to me if you killed the one you needed to kill both- however- I guess they were wanting to go Kill Bill route.

I liked the episode overall though- is was just the ending that kind of made me going huh?

But, I read somewhere today that if you compare this to Bloodlust- at least Dean's actions in both it makes sense. When Dean lost John he was pretty scary and well he has to be hurting with the loss of Castiel so that might be why he is so violent and black and white at the moment.

I have a feeling next episode with open our eyes to what is going on in Dean's head.

On the Sam end, while I wish he hadn't snuck out on Dean I get his reasoning. I loved the flashbacks and... I loved the character growth in that when Dean confronted him, he didn't lie or get angry back. He just hoped Dean would understand. I think a few seasons ago, he would have been in Dean's face.

I really think this episode was a set us up episode and I look forward to seeing how it plays out. :)

True, after their dad died, Dean was not himself. And with loosing Castiel, it could be why he hasn't been "himself" lately.

If this had been a few seasons ago, Sam would've gotten in Dean's face about it and there would've been a huge blow-up.

And I'm dying to see how it all plays out too. :-)
