How lovely! Thank you for inviting us!!! :)

I'll have to check, but I'm afraid that we might have a previous engagement on that day at the same time. :\

We're going camping this weekend (Thurs night through Saturday) for the Oregon Country Fair and then my sister is coming into town the next day. After that I might have some time on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (July 23-25th) to get together and do something. After that we have another weekend camping trip and a 3-week trip to California to take care of some family business. It's an awfully busy summer, let me tell you!!!! :P

Anyhow, if you have any free time on either of those days I'd love to plan something with you! :) If not then maybe we can get together in late August or September.

BTW, do you know what attachment parenting is? Do you participate in any of the AP boards, like the Yahoo! groups or the Mothering.com forums? Or participate in any LLL groups, etc.? From reading your previous post it sounds like you might be doing AP-style parenting, even if you don't know that you're doing it! ;)

It's kind-of a broad term that has different meanings for different people. The quick and easy answer is that it's about fostering healthy attachment in children and babies by doing things such as co-sleeping, extended breastfeeding, baby-wearing, etc. rather than the whole "cry it out" and "don't hold your baby too much or you'll spoil her" mentality. You don't have to necessarily do all of those things to be "AP," but it is a common thread among many AP families.

Anyhow, there's a large AP community here in Portland. If you don't already know about AP you can read about it in these places...

Dr William Sears has written an awesome series of parenting/baby books. Mothering magazine and their web-site is also a really good resource of information and interesting, thought-provoking articles.

Anyhow, forgive me if I'm gushing and rambling all over the place. It's super late and my brain is rather mushy!!! I should have been asleep hours ago! ;-)
