Eureka
Today I have found the elusive portal to another dimension. It was hidden from me for so long, in plain sight! But now, I have found it. Eureka!
My human was sitting in a puddle of water she made in her puddle-holder (what is it with humans' fascination with water) and I was supervising her to make sure she didn't drown. When she got ready to get out, she pulled a stopper out of the hole in the bottom, and that's when the portal opened. It sucked away all of the puddle! I saw it go streaming through and away in an at-first quiet vortex, then as the velocity heightened and the wormhole warmed up, it made this sucking noise! All the water disappeared into the strange world that must lie beyond the portal.
There must be a key or something to it, because I have played with my toys in the puddle-holder (when it was nice and devoid of a puddle) and there was no sucking vortex, nor did my toys or I get pulled through. However I am sure that in my current state I am much too large to fit through the opening. I will be studying the art of shape-changing, now, so as to learn how to transform myself into a snake, to fit through. I'll keep you posted how it goes.
If all goes well, our feline society may at last be able to escape!
