one of the worst weekends at work ever!
I don't have internet access at home anymore. I thought I'd stay the last two weeks at Uti's and my Dad's but since Rosi hasn't found a new roommate until now I've decided to stay a little longer (actually until I go to Japan) and work a little more.
Having worked as waitress only and not as barkeeper at all has finally paid off... literally! I get about 10-20€ more tip a day! Not that it sucked so much before but now it's really crazy! X__x I've realized that my coordination became a lot better and I'm hella lot faster and can do many things at once, too. But I definitely won't work three days in a row ever again. Especially not if it's Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I went NUTS!
Friday I was about to kill everyone near me. First there was this pervert in the morning who was staring at me when I took off my pullover. You could see like 10cm of my stomach since the t-shirt I was wearing under the pullover moved a little higher and then he gave off the dirtiest grin I have ever seen in my life! WTF! Thank god the door was locked and the kitchen staff arrived soon after that. T_T Then Eren (barkeeper) was an hour late for work which means I was completely alone managing service and the bar. Of course the store was full of ppl in the morning and when that huge group of about 10 ppl came in I really cursed Eren. lol When he finally showed up I was so busy that I had no time at all to listen to him why he was late. All I said was "Downstairs! Change into your workclothes! NOW!" He was so scared and sorry that he wanted to pay for my food after work. lol Then Rosa (second service shift) arrived. She made my sucky day really complete. Whatever was wrong with her that day I don't know but seldomly have I seen a person moving THAT SLOW! When you watched her working you thought you're watching a movie in slow-motion! I was really mad and in the evening so exhausted because I had to work nearly the whole day for two ppl! And on the top of everything my day at work ended with two perverts again. =_= When I was getting their orders they were staring at my breats all the time and had a big, fat, greasy grin on their ugly faces! *brrr*
Saturday was no suprise at all. I knew the day would suck when I saw the shift plans last week. Why? Because I had to work with that terrible waitress again. Miss "I don't care about anything
and won't move faster than a turtle because I could REALLY DO MY DAMN JOB RIGHT"!! Miss "oh there are other waiters who can serve my guests while I'm wiping something unneccessarily often clean or take a break". Jonas once went nuts because of her, too. I was working at the bar at that time. He came to me asking where she is because her guests where killing HIM because SHE was not there doing her damn job! I told him in a really pissed tone that I have no idea and he was like "oh maybe she's wiping something clean again or she's scrapping her nose..." We both gave off a weak grin then... at least we knew we were not suffering alone anymore but together. lol I really miss Jonas. And Yvo. And Iwona. And Albano. No matter how stressy work is and how overcrowded the store is... when everyone is doing their best it's still fun but it really makes you aggressive when someone just doesn't WANT to make an effort. I also had a fight with the new manager that day. He was working at the bar and I was refusing to deliver that stupid waitresses drinks to her guests + he told me to move my ass faster! I told him not to talk to me that way and if he has problems with someone's speed he should go to the person who is not able to get the drinks to her guests! The conversation then was like "You take the tray out NOW!" "Oh really?? Well... MAKE ME!" He was pissed but did not argue any further. I think he was afraid that I would just quit right away and leave (which I was near doing). Rosa was the third shift that day and he knows if I quit for reasons like being mistreated she would quit right away, too, and then they could have closed the damn store that day.
Yesterday was the worst day. The barkeepers where in a really bad shape and were so slow in everything they did. Maybe it was because they were not really organized? I dunno. The drinks took like hours and they could not take care of the dishwasher anymore which means the dirty dishes got more and more and we had no space to make the cakes anymore. At some point I really felt like crying because of the chaos and the behaviour of some asshole-guests. I still can't really handle a special kind of guest who gives you the feeling you're working bad. I was pretty much depressed after work and Rosa and Eren had to cheer me up. T_T Eren, who had never seen me working at the bar before said I looked fantastic. (aw ;_;) He said it looked like I was dancing because I tend to move in circles which I basically do to go easy on my feet.
Then I had a fight with the manager again. ^_^; Until yesterday we were allowed to eat the leftovers of the morning buffet for free because they are thrown away anyway. Well he spontaneously decided that noone's to eat anything for free anymore and shouted at a workmate when she did so. Thing is... he didn't tell anyone that it's not allowed anymore so basically noone knew the "new rules" and he shouted at three ppl that loud that I heard them from the kitchen when I was in the BASEMENT. Wtf!! His arguements are so weak you really know he's only creating those rules just because he can. I mean when I asked him why we should pay for it he asked me why I'm paying for a pizza? Excuse me? If I order a pizza after work it's freshly made. The leftovers in contrast are OLD and thrown away anyway. He then said that he has no control of the things we eat for free so he simply forbids everything. Hello? If you're not able to tell an old bread roll apart from a pizza... how stupid are you?? I mean you're having ppl work for 9-10 hours without break, they're barely able to drink something and you do not even grant them a stupid old bread roll after work?? How lame is that? That guy really has some authority problems. Rosa and I think he has to compensate err... something (lol). Whatever, two weeks and I'm gone anyway. :0
Sorry for ranting like that but I don't have another outlet and the manager really is the lamest person ever! XD
