Everyone seems to be so upset with the blood they have on their hands.
I can't help but feel like I deserve some of that blood. I wasn't able to make Maman better, and she died because of it. It's not...not fair.
((ooc; In the movie, Pan gives Ofelia a mandrake root to place under her mother's bed. So long as she gave it two drops of blood every morning and kept it in fresh milk, her mother would get better - she had a difficult pregnancy - but the Captain caught Ofelia under the bed and was outraged....long story short, the mandrake was thrown in the fire, and Ofelia's mother died soon after, so she feels somewhat responsible, like if she had stood up for herself or something, her mother would be alive.))
