Also, I would like to reiterate my hatred of the Australian Liberal Party. Oh, but the pure fury I feel towards them right now.

heheh, I loved that they could fix everything as to why mums don't work by adding more childcare... and the money to pay for such long hours is? And the ability to get someone to look after them when they are sick and can't go to daycare is? Such little things overlooked that make a big difference.

Childcare's a nightmare.

I would love nothing more than for every Liberal party member to live off a low income for a year. I remember reading some article about a politician attempting it for a week and he couldn't do it - he caved and used his 'own' money.

I especially loved hearing some ALP member this morning talk about how low income earners should have their partner's work. Oh yes, liveable wages...they are what again???

Nutso:( I want to determine how my own taxes are spent.

I think it's a bad idea to have an age based determination for making mums work... and even if it were instituted the age should be older than 6... honestly I'd say when they go to highschool...

My best friend's mother waited until her youngest was in high school. She finished high school, got a degree, and now has a full time job. Pretty cool:)
