It’s really something, to have all the heart of a Leslie Knope loving him. That’s a lot of heart.

Uhh what, no, this didn't make me cry at all what are you talking about.

EXCEPT OMG THIS FIC. All the feelings in the world. Like, this is entirely my canon now. So perfect and in keeping with the tone from the end of "The Trial" and my god. Just. Wow. Yeah. Words. I can't.

This was just lovely. And I cherish Ann being the awesome friend for boht Leslie and Ben, and Ethel winking at Ben and Tom giving him a high five. Of course Tom would do that.

Definitely, in my head Ann is the kind of friend who just adopts her BFF's boyfriend, plus, in my head Ann and Ben are friends anyhow. And I was wondering why Ann only had a small texting job to do, so I decided she would volunteer for this.

And Tom. Yeah.

Thanks for the comment!

This is really just so sweet and lovely. Full of melancholy after such a tough day and a little bit of trepidation and hope for the future. With love and a bit of triumph (maybe?) over what they've finally accomplished in "screwing it" and bringing the relationship out into the open.

I love that you gave us a little view of what Ben did while waiting for Leslie to come over--shovel some snow, get some text messages because I DID wonder what was going through his head after he left the trial and was waiting for Leslie to find out he'd resigned and come to him.

And Ethel! You showed them taking Ethel home. ♥ "Good luck handsome" and a wink. Awwwww.....

Can't you just hear Ethel saying that? It was her special-occasion lipstick that did it for me.

Ben waiting on that porch really was the key for me. His little wave and his voice.

Thanks!

Lol. That Ethel Beavers!
I love the wee smile she had when she was turning on her little booklight, getting ready to read the transcript. :)

And wasn't the booklight purple, too? Yay, art direction! Yay, props department!

I love Ethel. Love how they brought her back for this. I bet she's the only person left at City Hall who can do stenography.

He knows she thinks he’s regretting his job. “No no no. It’s OK. It’s just...” he waves his hand between them. He can’t find the words. “This is something.”

I loved all of it. But something about this was just really amazing.

Thanks so much! That whole part was a very late addition.
