(no subject)
Ok so yesterday at 9am I was completely jobless….come 9:30 pm and I have three jobs! Talk about annoying. So I had applied at this one place earlier last week and I waited around till Friday for the owner to call me (cause she said she would) and she never did so I call up on Sat leave a message and ask if she can please call me just so I know one way or the other (whether I got the job or not). So I wait around allll day on Monday even past when she should have called (around 1-3ish when she would be having her break) and no call. So then at 3 my mom and I went out job hunting and I got applications from just about every single place in town…from Banks to Restaurants. Well everyone was basically full or just not hiring and then my mom suggested that I work at Acme. At this suggestion I almost lost it… “ACME?! I would walk to Galena and work at my old job before I worked at Acme!”…says I…yeah and Galena is a half hour away…by car. So anyway my mom was like well ok…ok to skip ahead a bit we decided that there really weren’t any jobs available in town and that my best bet was to go back to my old job in Galena. Soooo I called up my old boss who at first was a bit confused because over the fall I had quit my job…but despite the confusion she hired me back and I have to go to work at 6 on Thursday. So yay I was relieved cause I had a job! So I get home and my mom jokingly says that by now the other place has probably called offering me a job and I agree cursing Murphy’s Law. So, get in and no ones called about any job so basically I’ve given up on hearing from this other job. And then at 9:30 the phone rings…yes 9:30 at night…pm! Anyway I have this weird ability to know exactly who’s calling without seeing the caller id…and so I’m like oh I bet it’s the other job callin….my brother goes to answer it and sure enough it is…I couldn’t believe it…so we let it ring and the answering machine picked up and on the message they said they had a job to offer me…GREAT!....this stinks….oh well this is a really long and boring post but I felt like writing it down for some reason. Anyway so now tomorrow I have to call this place back and tell them that I no longer am interested in working for them….hmm that should be fun. But I guess this is God’s way of showing me where he wants me to be…so I guess its all good, I’m actually really excited about getting to work back at my old job again, one of my best friend’s will be working with me and I already know everyone there so it will be a good summer experience…well anyway that’s the low down on my job situation!
