Today marks the end of the ten year marathon Lewis spent with the family. It breaks my heart. I don't know what to compare the pain to, I couldn't feel my trembling hands as I held onto the blanket when the pet shop guy came over, lifted his tiny body which I'm so used to holding and I cannot look on when he places my baby into a trash bag.
