That was... special, like back in the Academy but more unpleasant. Some of the students were violent and rude, that never happened in Kinkan town, must be a consequence of the lack of manners present in other worlds.

The Opera House came back to normal, at least, and I'm honored Mytho and I were chosen as King and Queen as should be regardless of ( Read more... )

Lady Lalis, right?

Yes, I am Lailis, Queen of Lodoc.

Earl Hargreaves has said to me he already asked on my behalf, but it is only proper for me to entreat for my own lodgings.

Pleased to meet you. Manners at last.

You're very welcome to the Opera House as long you want provided you don't pose a threat for those who reside inside.

The pleasure is mine, Princess.

I... am not much of a threat to anyone. I am unable to walk or stand, and I possess no aptitude for Holy Magic or any weaponry.

Not to interrupt, but, Lady Lalis, would it not be prudent at some point to see if there is some manner or method for you to move about more easily? Perhaps the hospital staff (such as it is) knows of one? I should hate to see you vulnerable or trapped in your room every day.

I do not know of any such method, Earl Hargreaves. At least, any I know of. ... I do not think I may ever be cured, either. My hamstrings were... severed. I have not walked in years.

Oh... I...
Forgive me.

I am accustomed to it, Earl Hargreaves, please, do not be sorry. Sympathy... is something I do not need. I accept my situation.

... But I would agree that, in this place, if there was something that could improve my mobility...

I would not wish to be a burden on you, unable to rise from my bed even to fetch my own food.

We will have to investigate as to what can be done, then.

I am sorry, Lady. I didn't know you were in that state. There are healers in this City who are capable to see your condition.

Lady Rue, this lady seems to avoid the possibility of ever being healed, or even of independent movement. It isn't done to leave a lady lying in the street, but I shouldn't like to see the entirety of the Opera House suddenly at her beck and call. I hope you understand what I mean.

We can take turns, Earl and in the mean time find her a good healer. We know several who have helped us in the past.

... There are healers who could even do such a thing? I thought it impossible to heal such damage. Perhaps if it were freshly cut, I know Pheliosta has some doctors capable of sewing them back, but... surely that is too amazing.

There are many amazing people in the City. When you settle down, write a request to the network and probably a healer will take up the challenge.
