My Flist has been waiting since last night for this. its a big deal.
I'll just get to the actual show and the gang can read all the other shit in another entry hehe.
It might be a little incoherent. I'm on very little sleep.
The theme of the night: Daphne fucking rules the world.
And damn this cast is perfection. if there is any other word to describe them I would use it
When we got there we had NO IDEA how this show was going to be done, but we saw that the stage setting was the same and we all freaked out that they were doing the whole show.
It starts off with Seasons of Love. The walk on to screaming and Anthony was wearing the plaid jacket and scarf and everyone had pieces of their characters on them. it was cute.
Gwen Stewart blew down the house. Everyone was screaming and the cast looked so excited to be there and they all looked goooood. haha.
After SOL was over Anthony went into a bit of Halloween, I thought it was going to be out of order until Kristen Lee Kelly came on and did Voice Mail #1 and then Taye and Jesse did Tune Up #2, which of course led into Rent.
Rent was electrifying. Adam forgot some lines in his second verse, amazing.
You Ok Honey- Wilson and Jesse are too cute. Wilson riffed everything and gah adorable.
Glory-haha the 5th anniversary flub led to the thought that Pascal will NEVER remember the lines to this song. but since he sang it in the movie and various press shit and on his college tours, the man perfected it.
LMC- HOLY SHIT. I have never witnessed the Daphne/Adam dynamic in my life. it was sex. The audience (and Idina) gave a laugh during "I'm 19, but I'm older for my age..." and Adam did agree that she has the best ass haha.
Today 4 U- Wilson came out in FULL SANTA DRAG. the audience went fucking crazy.
You'll See-Taye Diggs. damn I love him. him and D'Monroe. clearly there are no words to describe them
TANGO-OH MY FUCKING GOD. just seeing Fredi and Anthony doing this made my life. Fredi is amazing. They did the whole little tango bit, and she dropped him, parts were cut out for time, but still ZOMG.
Life Support-It was done downstage and not on the platform. They all forgot their Life Support names...even Jesse and Wilson. JESSE couldn't stop giggling. Anthony did his bit and Toby and Adam did an AMAZING duet of "though reason said"
OUT TONIGHT- Lights went off, music blaring. Daphne came out in the kimono. HOLY SHIT. she did all the dances and everything. Chris Columbus, if he was there would have been shitting himself. She kicked major ass. and totally sang "Neverson Babies" which killed everyone.
Another Day-Daphne and Adam had these little spurts of makeout sessions haha. This is my 2nd favorite song in the show. It was so much better than I could have ever imagined.
Will I?-Before they started Anthony mention that Gilles couldn't be there because his wife had their baby that morning and he was in CA. Then Wilson did the first solo and the song went on from there. It was chilling to see them all singing.
On the Street was done, Gwen as le bag lady ahah
Santa Fe- Jesse Martin cannot keep a straight face. I used to HATE this song. I now love it. Jesse kept dancing around and twirling (sans subway poles of course) too cute
I'll Cover You- Wilson was back in the wifebeater and jeans he started the show in. The song was beautiful. When they were twirling a little fast, Jesse screamed "OH SHIT! I forgot how fast you are!" and the kiss..amazing.
We're Okay- Now Fredi has this song down. haha the cell phone kept closing but she worked well with it.
Christmas Bells-YES it was done. they did the Angel/Collins bit and Mark/Roger/Mimi till the end (with parts cut) clearly so Idina can be a biker chick. haha. She looked SO excited to come out on the "motorcycle"
Over The Moon-Brilliant. lines were messed up audience cracks up. the entire audience mooed when fucking Idina Menzel told them to moo. just amazing.
La Vie Boheme-THey had the tables set up and everything. Idina wears thongs. she mooned Taye and the thong and microphone wiring were like stuck in her ass haha. Taye then walked up and smacked her HARD. haha I love them. Anthony jumps on the table and goes all spastic. FUZZY BRA GIRL *dies* The actuality that I was seeing the ORIGINAL CAST OF RENT probably hit me during this. it was brilliant.
I Should Tell You- Daphne love #59590680680805280280585b. Chemistry was fucking amazing. I can't describe this song.

then right into Happy New Year. (INTERMISSIONLESS SHOW) Idina had a imaginary chips and cell phone. Fredi found the rope and Wilson came out in Pussy Galore with Jesse in "BOND" with champagne.
Nobody could remember their words. Taye and Idina had the libretto binders on them and Adam had a page ripped out for his part. once he knew the words he crumpled it and threw it in the audience hehe
An Alexi voice mail was done.
TMOLM- They were fucking amazing. I dont have to explain this song do I?
Without You- Heartbreaking. Daphne was so raw and brilliant. It had the usual stage set up with Daphne in the middle and so on.
CONTACT- oh yes it was done. everyone stood in the front and most read from the libretto. Idina get very into it hehe. Wilson then went on the tables and did his bit with the sheet.
They kept the speeches before ICYR. the song. Jesse is one of few that can make me cry. beautiful rendition
Halloween- He finished the song. "Why did Mimi...", etc.
Goodbye Love- lots of crying. the whole song was done amazingly. the Mark/Roger fight was priceless and then Daphne doing the whole goodbye love at the end. you could have started sobbing right then and there.
What You Own-this song is in perfect form. Adam and Anthony are brilliant. they did the whole blocking for it and everything.mmm my favorite song
The parental voice mail was done
Finale-The projector wouldn't go on in the beginning. then Jesse came out and did a bit of the food emporium bit and then that was cut to Idina running out screaming for help. Fredi could hold Daphne by herself which is amazing. eh finale is usually the same no matter the cast.
Your Eyes-Adam. guh. amazing. so emotional. alot better than the last time we all heard him sing it...that movie thing. Then his "MIIIIIIIIIMI" was perfection.
Finale B-Daphne Mooed like she never mooed before. Wilson came out in a silky shirt. song was beautiful
THEN they move up to the stairs in the back of the stage and the current cast comes out as SOL starts playing. they all stand at the end of the stage in some kind of line (not the usual SOL staging) and Frenchie and Marcus sang the solos. then during the clapping they all move to the platform and lots of alums come out and sing the rest of the song all over the stage. it was beautiful.
after the song. it was all over *tear*
Cipriani's to PARTY.
Daphne, Wilson, and Anthony were the only OBC members to be there for a length of time, apparently Jesse never showed, Adam moved to CA today so he showed up for a bit, and Idina/Taye took pictures and left.
I noticed that the people I knew were all current cast members that were there. And most stayed till the very end.
Thats all I remember...at least for those who dont know me :P
