I'm trying to close out my pipeline before I go to the new job, so my calendar today is just chock-full of not-quite-closed business that needs to just shut up and be closed so that I can get paid on it before I move on. I've got one rather large one today that's got me particularly riled up and restless.
I'm wondering if I'll miss this part. I'm wondering if the thrill of the hunt is going to disappear and leave me feeling empty. I don't miss the downside of it already... the fear, the disappointment, the sick realization when you're having a bad month that you have no idea how you're going to pay your bills...
Not that I ever really have *bad-bad* months. ;) I work too hard for that.
My doctor made the comment the other day that she feels that perhaps my "engine idles a little higher than everyone else." I can agree with that.

I also re-did the look of my journal. As I have -zero- time and a total inability to be creative with a computer, I snagged an "Expressive" style. (Yeah, lunaris1013, I know... it's not what you'd do.) ::grin:: Maybe I'll make it a goal for when I'm on the road and have nothing to do.
