So this weekend went pretty well. It started off pretty slow on Friday when we didn't really have anything to do, but we took Steve to Coldstone because his date got cancelled and then me, Suze, Al, Gary, and Steve all played Life at Gary's house. Al kicked some serious ass because even though we all decided to go to college, he was the only one that got a real job and he became a doctor. He also won Lucky Day twice and won the stock market every time he played.
Saturday Suze and Danielle left me to hang out with Gary, Steve, and Vince. It could have went awfully, but instead we went to play mini golf up by Danielle's dad's house. It was a lot of fun. Steve won, and Vince and I tied for second. We also tied at the half which I thought was weird. Sometimes it's weird seeing him, but he's one of my friends so it doesn't matter. The history is there, but the line is so clearly defined that it doesn't matter.
Today, after I had to pay full price for my bagel pack at Panera which really pissed me off, I went to the shore with Gary, Steve, Travis, and Vince. It was really cold, but we played volleyball and layed out. Then since it was really windy we all decided to leave the beach and went up on the boardwalk. I loved it. It was a lot of fun. I got sunburn somehow even though it was so cold, something which I understand but don't really accept.
It was the first weekend that I have really felt at home since all of my time here. I felt accepted, and there were no inside jokes that I didn't get. Everyone seemed happy to be with me, and I was happy to be hanging out with them. I love Texas, and I love my friends there, but there are some things that Texas doesn't have, and it is definitely friends like mine.
