2 and a half months after graduation..

So it’s been a month since I started sending out resumes. I’m very optimistic and hopeful that I can land interviews soon. It’s a great feeling to be done with school and for people to know that I’m done with school. It actually allows them to ask, “So, what really is a Chemical Engineer?” It gets repetitive answering the same question, but I like it. It’s like my practice interview sessions and every time I get to answer, I get better.

So what else is new with me? Allow me to do a quick recap of what I’ve been doing the last 2 and a half months after graduation.

June 13 - Graduation Day *confetti*

June 14 to July 31 - I took those days OFF. And by “OFF” I meant, meeting up with friends and family I haven’t seen for ages due to crazy school and work schedule, went camping at Coloma, visited San Francisco for 4th of July, went to Palm Springs for a retreat, joined a bowling tournament at work, and worked on my resume.

August 1 to August 31 - I started sending out my resumes. I also sent off a friend who moved to NYC. I wend to court for a vehicular accident that happened 2 years ago! And started school once again - well, French 2 that is.

And I’m dating again.

And on top of it all, I’ve been working where I’ve been doing my internship all those dates listed on top. Granted I took a couple days off here and there, I really haven’t had a summer vacation at all. Well… (*insert images of camping, San Francisco, Palm Springs*) you know what I mean! I really don’t mind. I’m sure y’all know how “idle time” is really not part of my vocabulary.

So these four months left for 2010, I vow to continue being productive. I’ve got some of the stuff cut out for me already. Send out more resumes, do great in interviews, land a good job where I can be passionate with what I do, master French 2, and continue building on my relationships with friends and family.

And oh, yea, visit NYC this October and spend the Holidays (Christmas, New Years, and this is not a holiday but, my Best Friend’s Wedding - not the movie) in Manila. Whew!

And I want to write more. I will write more.

xx
