“Two Great Minds Going For a Walk”

Left a young lad's fourth birthday party downtown with banana brains, smashing phones, skip flying far away from there, fleeing for the deepest deep of the Griffey Woods past stadiums and golf courses. Footing it the whole way. Ranting and raving at the sky. Giving the finger to the passing autos. Access point into the woods just across the highway, then through Meadowood Retirement Community where an old woman coming out of the woods crossed paths and said,

--Two great minds.

--Ahh yes, all caught off guard, you must mean the two of us, here I suppose?

--Yes, she replied, two great minds going for a walk.

Her statement set a wily mind at ease. She said nothing more and was on her way. So continued to walk along soft woodchip path past a few houses, then finally out of sight, no humans dwelling, only deer dancing and a pill-eated, red-flared mudpucker pecking around with bird friends in the frosty forest of high oaks and sleeping poplars, where princes come to forget philosophy and forage for real information.

--Nature, she is so digital now. Does she notice her own satellite eyes?

These and so many more wonderings were born during the best moments of this trip, really a half baked shamanic healing session at sundown as our solar journey through Aquarius begins. To sit and breathe, chant and even cheat a bit. Then hike down the valley, climb up to Huckleberry Ridge and finally find the road back to town.

*Note nothing was said of the can of Ibis opened out there. Hellcopters hoveredoverhead. Decided then to dive right into the fire. Walked through police station parking lot high and stinking of Miss Demeanor’s sweet secret secretions while holding hand nervously over the guilty pocket, quickly past three cops getting into a jumbojeep. They talked and took their talk seriously. Meanwhile a fragmented man becomes whole again.
