Hit by a Truck fic.

My tragic death fic is better than rabu_ryoma_sama's.

Title: Hit by a Truck
Rating: PG-13 for death by truck.
Summary: Tomo's hit by a truck.
Notes: Because of this thread.

It was a sunny autumn day and Tomo was smiling because she was walking home from school and had just got done watching the boy's tennis team practice. She had even made a pink banner with hearts reading, "Always Win, Ryoma-sama!", which was now tucked under her left arm.

She stopped at an intersection and waited patiently for the light to turn green, all while humming her Ryoma-sama fan-tune.

When the walk signal lit up Tomo began to cross the street, however…

There was a huge truck coming down the road, and its breaks weren't working. It was out of control and the driver was screaming "Get out of the way!" out the window between screaming and panicking like a little girl.

Tomo didn't hear him, though, and continued to cross the street, humming loudly.

It was her creepy devotion and annoying theme tune that did her in, everyone agreed after her death. The young girl's bloody, crushed up body had been covered up almost artfully by her Ryoma-sama banner, and some witnesses said that they thought they could hear her humming even after the truck had hit. Some said it was Tomo's spirit passing on, others said that she had been humming it so loudly that it just got stuck in their heads.

Whatever the reason, Tomoka was dead. And it was all because she worshiped Echizen Ryoma.

When Ryoma was informed of Tomo's death he couldn't believe it at first. That noisy girl who hung out with that quiet girl? Hit by a truck? No way. Inconceivable.

But days passed and still there was no Tomo. Ryoma spared her a though once in a while, even went to her funeral, but no tears were shed and his life was pretty much back to normal after a week or two. (He felt kind of bad for Sakuno though.)

If he had known that it was Tomo's silly idol-worship of him that had killed her, he may have paused for a moment to consider what this meant, but in the end he would've said, "Huh," and left it at that.

Indeed, what a tragedy.

She was asking for this.
