Brokeback Mountain
The first film in a very long time that really moved me. Bravo to Ang Lee for having the courage to make this film and kudos to Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway for their remarkable performances.
I have high hopes for this film. A film beyond gay, beyond cowboys, a film about love, about unrequited love and its consequences. My hope is that not only will Metropolitan areas see this film but all will see it. It teaches a lesson that all of us should learn. That love is simply love, no matter what the context.
