[For a minute, Arthur sits very quietly at the kitchen table of the cottage, looking off to one side as he sighs. The tone he's using is somewhere between 'upset and doing his damnedest not to show it' and 'clearly not in the mood for any of this'.]

More and more people seem to be losing their friends here. I'm sorry.

Thank you. What a time of year for them to start disappearing though - I thought this holiday was about bringing everyone together.

[witchmaker]

It is, but the world tends to get in the way sometimes. I'm almost glad my friends aren't here so they can't get taken away from me.

I'd rather no one else showed up now, it's discomforting, to almost be abandoned like this. Insulting even.

[Time for the Pratdragon side of him to be dredged up a little to help him to deal with this so no one pities him forever.]

[ She smiles a little at that. ] Don't be insulted. I'm sure they're not leaving on purpose. You don't seem that obnoxious.
